What made you decide to study with us?
I was a Manager of a Restaurant Cafe in Newmarket, and I wanted to enhance my business knowledge to open up further work opportunities.
What were the highlights of your course?
Gaining knowledge and insight from our teachers and getting to know the other students. The programme has given me communication skills, confidence, and understanding on how to work with a team.
Did the Careers and Employment teams help you with job opportunities?
I attended the NZMA Careers Expo which gave me an opportunity to speak to a lot of employers, plus gave me insight into what jobs might be available. The Careers team were valuable in that they instilled confidence and supported me when I was looking for a job. This helped when I was interviewing for positions.
What is your current role?
I’m a customer care specialist (inbound and outbound) at 2 degrees, a New Zealand telecommunications provider.
What are the highlights of your job?
I really enjoy the teamwork environment, and the great communication at 2 degrees.
What do you like about working in New Zealand?
The friendly and accepting work environment in New Zealand is very refreshing, and can’t be found everywhere.
What are your goals for the future?
To keep succeeding in anything I put my mind to.
