On the 7th of July, NZMA Ōtāhuhu students battled it out at the Auckland Regional and Schools Competition. The theme for this year was Matariki, Oceania and New Zealand Native.
The competition is run by the Manukau Institute of Technology and the NZ Chefs Association to give students a space to showcase their culinary, baking and hospitality skills in a challenging environment.
The students took home a silver medal in the barista section, one silver and two gold medals in contemporary table setting – showing just how work-ready they are.
The team at NZMA couldn't be more proud.
