  • This qualification is targeted at people who have a relevant trade qualification or equivalent technical knowledge, skills and experience in a construction related trade and wish to gain the additional knowledge and skills required to supervise commercial construction related teams and work programmes.  

  • Ākonga must be employed in the construction industry in New Zealand in a supervisory role or as a tradesperson with a level of opportunity for supervision. 

  • Domestic applicants with English as a second language must be proficient in English language. 

This programme is currently only offered to domestic students.

A Certificate in Commercial Construction Supervisor typically takes 12 months, or about 45 teaching weeks to complete.

This commercial construction course is broken down into 15 hours a week. Each week this works out to 10 hours of work that you’re already doing onsite, and five hours online.
