You’ll learn all about the inner workings of the body, leadership and management skills, how to analyse performance data and wellness solutions. We’ll guide you on how to plan sustainable and innovative programmes by keeping you up to date with the latest scientific research and technologies used in the industry.
Our goal is to provide you with practical opportunities to learn in a simulated and real-world environments with our industry-experienced tutors and industry partners.
Our tutors will give you the tools you need to design health and exercise intervention programmes and support you in building your network by enhancing your communication and relationship skills. We will provide workshops to grow your specialties across a range of sport, recreation, and exercise skills such as delivering exercise sessions, sport massage, sport strapping, and injury prevention techniques, and more.
This course is delivered by the New Zealand Institute of Sport – NZMA's Sport & Fitness School

Exercise Prescription practice.
How to analyse performance data.
Kinesiology - functional anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics.
Event and business management skills.
Advanced coaching and exercise programme development.

COURSE COSTS
Domestic Students
Campus Course Costs: $7,221
Student Services Levy: $400
Either hold NCEA Level 3 or international equivalent OR;
Hold a relevant qualification at Level 3 NZQCF or above, such as the New Zealand Certificate in Sport, Recreation, and Exercise (Level 3), the New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4), the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways (Level 4) or equivalent.
Domestic students with ESOL must be proficient in English language.
