This intermediate-level programme really helps to build on your cookery skill set. You’ll learn about a wide range of cookery techniques and disciplines, and gain confidence working in a commercial kitchen environment. At NZMA you learn by doing, so you’ll spend 80% of your time in the kitchen putting your skills into practice.

International Students
Tuition Fees: NZ$19,500 Course Fee: NZ$2,500
The New Zealand Government has imposed an international student levy on tuition and course related fees. From 1 January 2019 the levy will be 0.89% of the compulsory tuition fees.
Entry Requirements
Domestic students need to be 16 or older, international students need to be 18 or older.
You must have completed the Certificate in Cookery (Level 3).
Applicants without formal qualification must meet the minimum requirements of the NZMA placement assessment.
If English is your second language you’ll need an IELTS score of at least 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0, or the equivalent*.
Interantional students must have travel and medical insurance and a valid visa.
* Other English Tests / evidence may be approved as advised by NZQA
