2013 looks set to be a busy year for NZMA hospitality and contact centre students who are keen to gain casual work.
Contact centre recruitment company, Callcentre People, will be recruiting around 230 temps next month. And thanks to a partnership with NZMA Employment, our students and graduates will be at the top of the list when it comes to staffing.
NZMA Employment advisor Sharon Cummings says both full and part-time positions will be available. She believes it will be a great opportunity for students to add some authentic work experience to their CV’s and put into practice all the great skills they are learning in class.
Meanwhile hospitality students can cash in on one of NZMA Employment’s key employer partnerships – Eden Park Catering.
“Eden Park Catering is by far one of the best employer partners I’ve worked with,” says Sharon.
“I have just received their event schedule for next year. It’s going to be a busy year for them, which in turn will provide some great employment opportunities for our students. They will hold recruitment open days for us every month for at least five months of 2013.”
Newcomer to NZMA Employment is Vector Arena. Thanks to a recently forged relationship between the two organisations, several NZMA students are now working as casual food & beverage attendants, at what is central Auckland’s premier events venue.
According to Vector’s Recruitment Manager, further employment opportunities will be on offer from the second week of January.
