28 November 2018 – NZMA provides ongoing and regular work experience opportunities for students, so they can continue to build their confidence in the skills they are learning.
Last week, eight NZMA students took part in the Deloitte Top 200 dinner for 950 people. Students helped with plating the entrée and finishing the preparation for the main courses. This gives students the chance to experience a large-scale function in a production kitchen.
In addition, students understand the importance of team work, and having consistency when presenting dishes to such a large group.
Tutor Chris Goodison, says, “I am so proud of the students for making the effort to learn from this experience as it has given them the opportunity to work with industry professionals.”
