4 December – The Moa Street Trades campus, Otahuhu held a very successful Trades Careers Fair last week. Students were inspired by the employer groups that attended, and several students were signed up for work that evening.
During the week, employers Drake, ELE Group, KS Holdings, Madison, Metro Glass, CanStaff, and AWF each spoke to the student group, and highlighted the work opportunities and career paths the students could aim for. With the NZMA Careers Team on hand, students were encouraged to be pro-active and engage with the employers.
NZMA Careers team consultant, Courtney Wilson said, “Our NZMA students have been working very hard during their courses and will graduate shortly. We work closely with our students as we like to ensure they realise their full potential. Events like this are a must to attend, as students meet employers and understand what work opportunities are available. Some of our students were lucky tonight to have job offers on the spot and that is just wonderful.”
