Study Information Technology at NZMA

Brush up on your computing skills, and boost your confidence, with this practical, introductory course . Learn how to use basic computing tools and technologies to produce and process information - and improve your workplace performance and productivity. From problem solving and transferring data, to meeting digital compliance requirements and maintaining organisational security – this programme equips you with the basic IT skills needed for today’s workplace plus gives you an opportunity to explore and establish an understanding of a range of computer concepts. There are no computer skills required to enter this course and you’ll graduate well-placed to hit the ground running in a range of entry level administration or IT roles.

Entry Requirements

  • You need to be 16 or older and achieve the required level in our evaluation
  • If English is your second language, we may require you to sit an English Language Assessment*
  • * Other English Tests/evidence may be approved as advised by NZQA 
  • Must possess NCEA Level 1 or 2 or the New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1 or 2
    Candidates without a formal qualification must meet the minimum requirements of the NZMA placement assessment
