Study Business at NZMA

Looking to get your foot in the door into the business world? Our Business Level 3 course will teach you the necessary skills to find a job in a range of office administration and customer service roles.

We will help you fine-tune your computer skills and develop team skills in exciting group projects. You’ll also get the chance to listen to real business people sharing real business expertise. This is not Business 101 as you know it. Business NZMA-style is fun, friendly and first-rate.

What will I learn?

  • Soft Skills: We will make sure that you graduate with some excellent soft skills like presentation, communication, and customer service skills. These are the qualities that really impress employers and will make sure you stand out at an interview!
  • Power Point: Terrified about making presentations? Power Point is the perfect tool to help ensure your presentations are slick and professional and we will also teach you how to create them.
  • Microsoft Publisher: Channel your inner graphic designer and master this awesome publishing application tool. Learn how to design your own newsletter, business card, CV, invitations and more. 
  • Spreadsheets: Managing numbers and calculations will be a breeze once you have learnt how to use spreadsheets and charts.  
  • Microsoft Access Database: Become an expert in reporting and analysing large amounts of information with Microsoft Access.

  • New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) Level 3


Course Costs

New Zealand Students:

Student loans and allowances are available if you meet the criteria.

International Students:

Tuition Fees: NZD$7,500

Course Fee: NZD$500

The New Zealand Government has imposed an international student levy on tuition and course related fees. From 1 January 2019 the levy will be 0.89% of the compulsory tuition fees.

Entry Requirements

  • Entry is open to all New Zealand candidates aged 16 years or older at the time of commencing their study, or 15 years old at the time of commencing their study and have an early leaving exemption from school.
  • International students need to be 18 or older.
  • Must possess NCEA Level 1 or 2 or the New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1 or Level 2.
  • Candidates without a formal qualification must meet the minimum requirements of teh NZMA placement assessment. 
  • If English is your second language, we may require you to sit an English Language Assessment. The level of English language skills required is equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or above in all bands.
