Study Youth Courses at NZMA

This 20-week programme is available free to 16 and 19 year-olds. 

This very hands-on programme will teach you about restaurant service, how to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, make caféstyle coffees and a host of other practical skills. You’ll master the fine art of coffee and cocktail making, learn about restaurant service, food safety and pick up a host of other practical hospitality skills. You’ll come away with a Level 3 certificate and a Certificate of Achievement in Basic Food Safety. Studying on this programme will also give your English and Maths skills a boost.

  • New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage Service (Strands in Café service, Bar service and Barista) (Level 3)
  • NZMA Certificate in Food Safety
  • Gain NCEA (Level 2) with Vocational Pathway in Service Industries

This is part of the Government-led Youth Guarantee programme so it’s completely FREE if you meet the course entry requirements.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You need to be 16 or 19 years old.
