Today, Sylvia Park Careers Team Leader Sam Rasheed-Hiscoke, and Assistant Head of Faculty, Eddie Trubshoe met with Mike King, Key to Life Charity.
Key to Life Charitable Trust visit communities and schools around the country to get people talking about suicide prevention, particularly in youth. With so many students on our campuses it’s an important message for everyone to be aware, and ask their friends and colleagues if they are OK.
The team met with Mike to support his charity currently organising a huge boxing event for 18 VIP guests (mainly local businesses) where six to 8 of our students will be working. The venue for the event is Auckland Boxing Association in Mt Eden on 13th May 2017 from 4pm.
Mike will be visiting Sylvia Park campus again to facilitate a 45 minute session with our students and dates/times will also be arranged for all our campuses via our Careers team.
