Study Business at NZMA

This programme will prepare students for a career in the field of health management, professional retail management, project management, or supply chain management.

The aim is to educate and graduate professional business managers with the technical and decision-making skills necessary for success in local and international business contexts, in the retail management, project management, supply chain management, and health management fields.

You will develop the managerial, technical and decision-making skills necessary for success both in New Zealand and overseas. You will develop valuable networks and links to the health industry and gain a well-rounded and multi-disciplinary qualification relevant to today’s corporate sector.

Course content includes:

    Core papers for all four strands:
  • Marketing
  • Business finance
  • Management perspectives
  • Operations management
  • Internship or Business Project
  • Three specialty papers in one of:
  • Health Management
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Professional Retailing
  • Project Management

What qualifications will I come away with?

  • Diploma in Applied Management (Level 7)

Entry Requirements

New Zealand Students:

  • In order to be eligible for admission to the programme, candidates must have successfully completed a level 6 NZQA-approved business diploma or equivalent.
  • The minimum age at course start date is 18 years.

International Students:

  • A business diploma which is equivalent to NZQA Level 6, or equivalent skills and experience. International students will be individually assessed to ensure they meet the entry requirements
  • If English is not your first language, you must also demonstrate English language skills equivalent to an IELTS overall band score (academic) of 6.0, with no less than 5.5 in any band
  • Successful completion of a New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 4) programme is an acceptable equivalent. The minimum age at course start date is 18 years.
