Director of Domestic Operations
Will Horridge has a great deal of experience working in complex operating environments and in training, motivating and building teams. A New Zealander who moved overseas in his teens, he has recently retired after 18 years in the British Army, having achieved the rank of Major. During his time in the Army, Will saw action in many parts of the world, including Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Although this is his first foray into the private tertiary sector, Will is not new to education. While operating in Afghanistan, for example, he led a team that successfully developed a functioning school for 1000 pupils. This involved complex stakeholder negotiations with local leaders, NGO’s and provincial government ministers, the management of the physical build, the organisation of funding, child registration, teachers, equipment and materials. He has also taught in Army basic training establishments and been a tutor at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom which delivers education to Army Officers at diploma level.
Will is currently completing an MSc in Management and Leadership from the University of Portsmouth Business School.
